European Media Art Festiaval Osnabrück 18.-22. April 2012

25 Years of Media Art

EMAF is one of the most influential forums of international Media Art. As a meeting point for artists, curators, distributors, galleries and an audience of experts the festival has a great impact on the topics and aesthetics of Media Art. Each year the festival offers its visitors a current overview of experimental films, installations, performances, digital formats and hybrid forms, ranging from personal and political subjects or formal experiments to provocative statements from the pulsating area of “Media Art – Society”. The Festival sees itself as a place of experimentation and a laboratory where extraordinary works, experiments and ventures are created and presented.

Under Construction...

Since we are still preparing the festival programme, the information on our website is not complete yet. We will continue to ad more information as soon as possible.

This year's film programme

... is not yet finished. Out of more than 1,500 submitted films and video clips, the commission consisting of Alex Gerbaulet, University of Arts in Braunschweig, Erwin van 't Hart, IFFR Rotterdam, Philipp Czogalla, University of Paderborn and Helene Weber, SMART Project Space Amsterdam, led by Ralf Sausmikat of EMAF has to put together a diverse and interesting programme. And they will succeed - of this we are sure.

EMAF Party

During the festival there will be a great EMAF party, where well-known DJs and VJs will perform live to give the exhausted festival visitors an extra blast of power. Exact dates will be announced here shortly.

Students from FH Würzburg and their lecturer Dr. Ingo Petzke created different trailers for this year's EMAF, that we don't want to keep back from you. This one was made by Nici Hartebdrodt.
